Meet Cassie Turner, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC 

Cassie Turner, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in the state of Missouri. Cassie is dedicated to empowering her clients to achieve their best mental health and overall well-being. She believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her clients and works collaboratively to create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each person’s unique needs. Her goal is to help clients feel their best, with a focus on minimizing medication use when possible and incorporating holistic practices for a balanced approach to mental health.

Cassie has gained valuable experience working in a variety of mental health settings, including outpatient clinics and community-based services. Her expertise spans across a range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders. As an inclusive provider, she is also proud to be LGBTQIA+ friendly, ensuring that all her clients feel welcomed and supported in a judgment-free environment.

A strong advocate for patient education, Cassie takes the time to thoroughly explain treatment options and medications to her clients. She is committed to helping people understand their mental health and make informed decisions about their care. Cassie believes in reducing stigma around mental health and strives to make compassionate, high-quality care accessible to everyone.

Work Experience

I have worked in different roles in mental health since 2008.  As a registered nurse, I worked primarily on an inpatient adult behavioral health unit as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and administrative supervisor.  I became a nurse practitioner (NP) in 2014.  With my different jobs as an NP, I have worked in many settings, including:  emergency department, adolescent intensive outpatient program, consultant to pediatricians, consults for medical floors/inpatient substance use disorder treatment, working in an outpatient practice treating adults with substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
