Callie is passionate about working with children from a broad variety of backgrounds.

My Approach

I approach therapy from an integrative perspective. My top priority when working with a client is to foster a strong therapeutic relationship through rapport, trust, and safety. I develop and use a combination of techniques and approaches to help find what is best suited to my client's needs. I have training and experience in using Mindfulness, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Trauma-Focused CBT, Bibliotherapy (reading therapy), Play Therapy, and Psychoeducation. I also have experience in teaching skills including positive affirmation, emotional regulation, coping skills, and feelings identification. I strive to help children use skills they have learned to improve their relationships with peers and family. I promote secure attachments between parent/guardian and child by helping them foster their relationships when there are disruptions in attachments.
